Really?

See, now *that's* weird. I'm going to call them later today when I get home, see if I can get a straight answer out of someone.

Weird.

I just looked at my tracking info, and now it's on the truck for delivery.
I told them that I would like to pick it up,.: maybe I should
have faxed them a letter!!
It is obvious we are dealing with idiots here.
Anyway hopefuly, they will make here with out any complications.

According to the status order my is also "On FedEx vehicle for delivery", but the thing is I live in a different town. Apparently they've tried delivering it yesterday and failed for some strange reason, If it happens again today I'm giving them a call before they try to send it back to Florida. I'm beginning to think there are no responsible people out there who know how to do their jobs right, I'm starting to get really frustraited.

OK people, FedEx has gotta be worse shipping company out there.
I called twice in the last hour just to see if i would get different
answers; in which i did. first its coming today second tomorrow!
these guys don't know there from a hole the ground.
the customer service reminds me of AW, the apple doesn't fall
far from the tree
Now they just told it will delivered in about two hours.
these people are something else.

sorry to hear about your troubles

I also finally got my Package by getting a FedEx mananger from the corporate office to tell my local office that i will come and pick up the package which is against their rules. So when i got there, my black box was waiting for me
post #228 of 280
So, did it show? I'm hoping the lack of an update is due to you occupation with your new lappy .

Well the good news is that i finally got my AW Laptop....but since i got i haven't ate any food, or sleeped. Since i took the Beast out of the box, i have been totally consumed by its beauty. I mean....the first time i took it out the box, it looked so big and sexy. The paint job is so sexy.

Well i am at work and since i got the laptop i only had time to delete the aray, and configure the drives back to dual drive format and reinstall windows. The biggest problem i came accross was finding all the drivers. The webcam drivers are now where to be found. Lol not even the AW Techs know where to find them.

As soon as i get home, it is on!!! ill be gaming all night

Again sorry about your troubles man_livin_it_up....but as soon as the beast is in your hands, you will forget it ever happen!!
Congrats man! Just out of curiosity why'd you delete the array? Didn't you want it when you ordered it?

Aurora 7700 only comes in array, and i never own a computer with a backup hard drive. They are good to store movies, music, and drivers. While your games enjoy a big primary hard drive to their selfs.

Again, can you believe that i have not did anything with this laptop but reinstall windows. And while i was doing that i was blown away at how sexy they dam beast looks. Its so big and shiny, and also smells like a new car. I totally forgot to post my review and also forgot i had to work today.

You can configure a dual drive aurora without using any type of raid. Just two drives. Just so people don't get confused.

oh yea, i know.....what i was saying is that you can't by the Aurora 7700 in dual drive format...only in raid. But when you get the laptop, you can delete the array and make them into dual drive format.

I'm still battling with FedEx who apparently doesn't want to give me my laptop (the delivery man and who ever thought of the whole system FedEx goes by are both fuheads).

r_3759 or anyone else on this forum would you guys mind briefly explaining why you would want to delete the aray, configure the drives and reinstall windows? Is installing drivers really that important, can you use the webcam with out the drivers for it? This is pretty much my second computer and there are still some things I'm totally clueless about.

sweet

now the first thing to do is burn a cd with all the drivers for your aurora. hulioni helped me get some driver for the Aurora 7700 webcam. You will not find those drivers anywhere.

crap sorry to hear you are still putting up with FedEx bull crap Tristania. When FedEx told me i could come and pick up my package, i ran out of my house at 7am without combing hair or taking a shower.

While i was at the traphic light, an SUV slamed into the back of a car that was beside me. I was wtf, God doesn't want me to get the laptop. If that SUV had slamed into the back of my car, i dont' think i would have stoped to check for damages. Nothing would stop me from getting the beast. Even if a friggin f-16 jet crashed into my car while i was on the way to FedEx, which i wouldn't be surprised.....because just about everything went wrong since i ordered the beast.

I think we all just made a packed with the Devil (Alienware )
But i would have never thought the pay off of seeing the sexy beast would ever be so god dam sweet.

I can go on and on about how sexy the paint job is and the glowing Aline eyes on the back looks. Just wait untill i load Battlefield2 on it when i get home.

Well when your Aurora 7700 comes, it will be configured as raid 0..which is 2 hard drives combined into 1 big drive. Thats cool for games. But i need a another hard drive by its self for my movies, drivers, music, porn ect.

You will need drivers for your network card, wireless card, webcam, soundcard, videocard, and another crap load of hardware. Thats why i like having a second hard drive so i dont' have to keep backing up my info on CDs.

You webcam will not work if you don't have the drivers.

ok, i haven't sleeped in 2 days since i got the beast
As soon as i got home i installed Call of Duty2 and Battlefield2. I did something with battlefield2 that i could never do with my desktop....i played it with max out settings, i mean every flipping graphic setting set to high....after doing that i went for a 62 man full server and took a spin. 1 word....holy cow!!!! with maxed out settings the game still loaded in 15 sec and never slowed downed. The graphic were still moving smooth as silk with 50+ players running around me. I even had shadows maxed out to high, all setting...and everything moved so freekin smooth.

I never thought anyone could max the settings on Battlefield2....i always thought the high settings were some kind of joke. When i play on my desktop, i have to turn off shadow and put everything on medium.

Call of Duty2 played perfect with max settings also

The only flaw i found with this PC is that you will never get any sleep for a long time. Its just too hard to put down.

And still after throwing game after game at the Aurora 7700 it still turned around and said.....is that all you got mofo? come on you pu*sy! you can do better than that!

Yea, thats right....it talked, or at least i thought so.....i think i need sleep. When i get up in the next 8 hours ill install Fear.
