yea thats right msduncan, AW told me to call back in March
post #42 of 280
My system isn't all that different from what you guys seem to be ordering, (I know you'll hate me for this) and it shipped out 5 days later- this discrepancy doesn't seem to make any sense to me at all. The monitor and gpu I ordered are not as nice, so maybe that is what the trouble is for you guys- either that or I will be getting a pile of parts they haven't even put together yet (oh no) I'm surprised that noone has been able to get a straight answer as to what the delays are all about!!!

In any case, keep hope alive, and check the phase as addiction demands!!!!

my aurora isn't expected to ship until march 7th. I don't call it a gift from my wife as much as I refer to it as the gift she's letting me buy for my self

Alienware is making some serious coin with all the 7700's we're buying lately. They deserve it, the are great laptops. Good luck to those still waiting on their lappy, it's worth the wait.
iight... this is the dillio. I got an mj-12(which i find to be identical to the aurora m7700) with a amd 3200 proc. Im gunna buy an fx60 though when prices fall. How hard is it to replace a cpu on a laptop? You are all true believers in AW for hangin' in there for soo long. Phase 3 and nearly 1 month! If my lappie were a female,

I think the wait is probably the hi res screen the guys over at sager were told that the screens were out of stock too.

Guess we are all in the same boat, but it will be worth the wait.
I also have the Area51 m7700, and can't wait for the this one.
I also look forward to the 19inch, maybe next yr

when i called AW, they told me since i was on phase 3 for a month, they will rush my delivery.
Ok,

Im waiting for an Area-51m 7700 and its been stuck on phase 3 coming up to 4 weeks now ...

I sent them an eamil on Friday saying if they dont get their finger out im going to ask for a refund and go elsewhere ( Hmmm, like I would ).

Still awaiting for the reply but could be interesting
post #60 of 280
Hmm, you could try PCTorque, where I got mine within a week of ordering . But for once, this actually isn't Alienware's fault. It's a marketwide shortage of a critical component. Not much anyone can do about that.
