Using Logitech MX610 here!!

I would really rather go with a wired mouse for gaming, simply because you know that that the batteries wont go bad on you. I don't see any advantage to using a wireless mouse anyway, unless you really dislike wires.

G5 for gaming, and the V200 for portability. Having to charge up mice batteries is not l33t.

MX 1000 w/ Ice Mat > Then ALL

Darkloki, I assume you're a gamer seeing as how you're in sR->, do you find that there is any lag gaming with the mx1000? Is your USb or bluetooth? I'm looking at getting a bluetooth keyboard and mouse combo that has the mx1000 to avoid the USB power issues that the E1705 has, but don't wanna sacrifice any reaction time.

my biggest pet peev, is that those little plastic sliders on the bottom of the mouse are TOO small and come off way to early, and by the time you realise they are gone, and the mouse is scratching all over the place, both logitech mouses i have had had lost their feet, found that the distance from surface to mouse had to be just right, to thick of a space and it doesnt track, to little and it doesnt track, arrgh... so next mose im gonna make sure it has GOOD feet.

It depends on what type of mouse user you are I guess. Many people out there seem to have this issue of lift up the mouse from teh pad and then relaying, I guess the laser in the 1000 does not Respond well to this and lags. But I never lift my mouse off it's mouse pad as i just glide it from one area to another it's really like on ICE, and I loft the Teflon on the mouse. I play my FPS games well, and I'm starting up EAW which is a RTS. No Problems here.

But the G7 is Tempting it's only like 70 dollars WITH SHIPPING on NewEgg this week, I might pick it up to see what I like, and give the lesser of the 2 to my younger brother.

Holy shiznitz!!!! How in the world can you people spend more than $50 bucks on a mouse!?!?

I have a $20 corded Kensington and it's perfect for everything. It has two buttons on the sides that can be used as back and forward buttons in Firefox. Mouse is great. $50 dollars on a mouse!! Holy h*ll..

Just wanted to share this with you all: Logitech G7 Laser Cordless Mouse Retail ***Free 2nd Day*** for only 69.99 down from 99.99 right now! I just ordered one Friday morning. I expect it either on Monday or Tuesday.

I had the MX1000 when it first came out at cost 120.00. Took it back the same week as it was way to much at the time but I still wanted to try it. I really did like that mouse but would have really loved it as a BT device. Unfortunately the only way to get the MX1000 is in the MX5000 bundle with the keyboard. I didn't really want to spend that much at this time.

You are going to love it, with the 2k dpi laser engine, it's as good as wired. No issues at all. The double battery with charger rules. I have it plugged into my desktop and use the dongle on the laptop.

Sad, my $2,000 desktop has become a battery charger.

so today i went out to the area of town where the computer shops are, and to my surprise a G7 cost HK$880 or us$113 ouch.

G5 is about the same price as MX1000 HK$570 or us$73, and the MX610 was about 12 bucks cheaper.

so whats better, G5 or the MX1000?

I was PISSED when I came home with my G7 only to find out that the glass wouldn't work with the laser.. If you're serious about the mx1000 working with the icemat, PM me and let me know..

As for my mouse of choice - G7. I like it better than the G5 simply because I hate wires more than anything. As for the people who say something about carrying the battery charger, etc., I have a powered USB hub I leave on my desk with the charger plugged into it, and I just swap the batteries before I leave every day.

The Logitech G5 has HUGE polyurethane PADS, not just little feet. I have a feeling that it will take alot of damage for these pads to come off... Just my 2 cents.
