Can someone help w/ Widescreen Question.

My wife has a 2 year old desktop and the resolution of her video card only goes up to 1280 x 1080 i think, how will this look on a 20 inch dell widescreen. they recommend a higher resolution for such a monitor. i know my lappy will support but will it be a waste for the desktop?

how do u noe it goes only to 1280x1024?
it may support the dell widescreen.

Just coz it currently only gives u the option for 1280x1024, is probably because ur LCD only supports that.
