Hi I previously reported on this problem here:

..but thought I'd post it here since there seem to be alot of 8204 users and I was wondering if you could confirm if you have the same problem as me. Basically on the LCD every 2nd row of pixels horizontally is greyer than it should be.
Powerbooks had the same problem and Apple have begun replacing screens:

This is the test to try if you are unsure if your screen has it: Go here http://www.crankycat.com/ and look at the blue box on the right side of the page. This picture has grey lines every 2nd row of pixels - if you look at it on another display you will see them. Now on your 8204 grab the scroll bar and scroll the page up and down a few pixels - notice when you scroll it a few pixels you can get the image to become clear. This is because the grey lines on the 8204's LCD compensate for the grey lines in the image and the result is a clear image with no visible lines.
Everyone else got this? Think Acer would take action like Apple did?
