Or is it the same drivers as the ASUS L8400 drivers ?

Anyway,

I have just made a complete wipe of my old Advent 8475DVD laptop ( 5 years old ) ready to give to my daughter as my new Alienware one will be with me soon ( hopefully, god they are slow ).

Thats all good but the recovery disk has no driver for the sound card ( Aureal Vortex 8810 ).

This hapened to me before and I managed to get the drivers from Advent as they sent them to me on a disk, problem is, I can no longer find the disk and Advent wont help me as my warrentey has run out ...

I have tried downloading several diffrent drivers from the net but none of them work ...

Can anyone out there guide me to, or supply me a driver for the sound card

The other disk with the driver on was called CD218 8400 drivers v4 ... It had more than just the sound card driver on it ...
