its the version of the Pentium 4 chip. Im not sure. Is the Prescott much better? We are running Northwoods right now correct?

I believe that the Prescot chips will be released sometime in the first quarter of this year with the clock speed of 3.4 Gigs for their fastest chip.

The Prescot is suppost to contain 17 more instructions than the current P4 chips and a better form of Hyper Threading. How this affects performance is still up in the air.

The chip is also said to run hot. Hotter than current P4s. If true, it might pose a problem for desknotes which are already running a warm temps.

That's all i know. Correct me if i am mistaken anywhere.
