Whenever I try to use my PNY Attache flash memory on my desktop I get that message. The memory is 2.0 usb but I didnt have the newer 2.0 ports on my desktop so I bought a 2.0 usb card with 4 ports, But it still wont work. All my other usb products work on it but they work on the old style 1.1. My desktop is a gateway with ME os. The usb card said that it will work on my os. PLus I have my scanner and printer plugged into 2 of the 4 2.0 ports and they work fine. Did something happen and the new card is not working with the 2.0?

I did install the drivers but on the system devices screen it lists the usb ports but not exactly as the manual. It should say: "VIA tech 3038 to USB Universal Host Controller" when I installed the card but not the driver. And it does say that. Now after the driver, That description is supposed to say: "VIA Rev 5 or later USB Universal Host Companion Controller", but it does not say that after I installed the driver. It still says the first description. After the installation the system restarted itself so it should have been completed. Im thinking that maybe I should remove the original 1.1 usb controller and root hubs. Maybe it wont let me run both versions. Oh yea also when I check the driver for one of the root hibs that are supposed to be the new 2.0 it says that the driver is from Microsoft which it shouldnt be.
Thanks for the help so far.
