Does anyone have this? I am looking for a nice portable laptop. I work on photo shop and illustrator alot, will be using alias as well. I will not be playing games..and if i do, they will be the older ones like star craft, etc.. I noticed the dv1000z has core duo. Isn't this somekinda new technology..faster processing? I figuered it would do me better since i work with a buncha different programs. Would this be better or the toshiba m55-325? The dv1000z is cheaper and comes with core duo.. the toshiba doesnt.

dv1000t my mistake.

I would think that the new DV1000 would give you the power you need... I'd say go for it and if it doesn't satisfy you just return it.

CobraR6,

how much was the total costs for the specs on that dv1000t you listed?

$1988.78 with my acedemic discount. That included a free printer(with rebate) and the printer cable. Plus I have an $80 mail in rebate for the printer, and a $50 mail in rebate for the computer itself.

I really like the notebook. It is VERY fast. There is another DV1000t thread on here where I told about it. I think it is entitled DV1000t Questions before I buy...
