Well I bought an M1437G off somebody who had never even taken it out of the box since xmas, I was the first person to turn it on.
Anyway I got it home, was using it and everything was fine, after an hour or so it cut out and wouldnt turn back on, no charging light, nothing.
I try taking the battery out and leaving it a while, still nothing, I try plugging the charger back in one last time and still nothing. Anyway I left it plugged in and went to cook my tea, 15 minutes or so on, I come back into the room and find all the lights are flashing and the screen is flickering, accompanied by the smell of burning electronics.
I figure this notebook is toast, so onto the warranty. (FYI I am in the UK). I put the serial number into the warranty entitlement checker on the FJC website, and it tells me it has 3 years collect&return warranty on it. I am not the origonal owner of this notebook so what (if any) repurcussions (sp?) does that have on getting it repaired under warranty? I would hope they will fix it for me no questions but you know what these people are like.
I presume I should just phone up the helpdesk number thats on the little warranty booklet to arrange for collection?
Thanks
Simon
