What will you do with your I9300? - Page 2

Great, I opened this thread and now I have an error message blinking on the screen saying my laptop is issuing its' 2-week notice. Now I have to find a replacement.

THANKS FOR SAYING SOMETHING, you pissed it off and it wants a severance package too. Gawww!!!

I'm going to keep using the 9300 until December 2007 at which time it will be replaced by a newer model.

Who cares about the newest advances? I sure don't considering my newest car is 6 years old and my Dimension 8200 is running like a champ.

Hey, how come nobody's PMing me to sell their "obsolete" 9300's?

Gueeze... You guys with yer "obsolete" 9300s 'n all; How do ya think I feel?
-Mine's a good-fer-nuttin 9200!

Aint nothin worse than "old" cool. Braggin about a 9200 gets about the same reaction from people as when they see a fat sixty-something hippy with an earring and a ponytail try to hit on a 25 year old chick.

Definitely time for me to throw out my ridiculously expensive 9200 and get me some ridiculously expensive new cool, cause man I do not wanna be havin' that oooooold cool!

I feel for you.. I think we all ought to pitch in and start a fund to provide 9300s to those of you currently without.. everybody in the universe should have the privilage of owning their very own 9300.. how many members are on this board (just the 9300/xps2 board).. if we all just threw in a dollar or two, we'd be able to help a few people out.. i think it'd be worth it

I agree that the 9300 is still good for something. It takes up space in my closet!
It will do so until I sell it off. I'm looking at a Gateway notebook with Core Duo and a Go 7800. I'll use the money I get from the 9300 and probably buy the Gateway. The screen is far superior to any Dell out there. No more light leakage or sparkles.

I wish you all the best with your I9300s.

Some of these replies are pretty silly. I just got my i9300 and it's SO much faster than ANYTHING where I work (over 1,000 users). It's even faster than most of the desktops. I just need to pony up the cash for the 130 watt and the 9 cell then get that 7800GTX and I am set.

shit, the day obsolete computers run half life 2/ dod source at highest res, all settings turned on with 45+fps is the day i will play hl3

Your laptop becomes obsolete when it doesn't do what you want it to do.

So you want to "trade-up" (not sure how accurate UP is) for a system that is even more proprietary than Dell? Just for the screen? Best of luck to you. We have officially disowned you as brethren.

if you want to get rid of your obsolete 9300 faster, i'm willing to trade my 1990 oldsmobile for it.. Even though the car is 16 years old, it's far from obsolete.. it still runs most of the time.. so i'll take the loss and give up my AWESOME non-obsolete car for your old obsolete junk..

no, but seriously, you ought to try to get rid of it as soon as possible.. The cost of technology decreases dramatically as new expensive business developes..

and you'll always be our brethern, even if you sell your 9300, you will still be one of us.. just dont forget your roots when you go off to do bigger better things..
