2200 b/g problems

Ok so ever since I've had this laptop, even under windows, the intel 2200 b/g wireless module will only turn on every other time I boot up the system. I can get it to run under linux, but I have the same problem its only on everyother time its turned on. I'm guessing this is in the hardware obviously, anyone know how to change it to be on every boot?

if its the hardware, get a new card and install that

That's not what I meant >.>. I meant like I dont think Windows or Linux is doing it, it seams to work fine, just everyother time. I meant like maybe its in the bios or something just wondering if anyone knew what was going on.

If it's an internal module then try reseating it. Other than that you'll probably have to send it in for repair or just get a pcmcia card.

My 2200 sometimes doesn't initialize right either. I just reboot.. that usually fixes it.

It's just so strange, because it's exactly everyother time >.>. It must be set to boot only everyother time :/.

How do I reset it?

your BIOS should have an option for minipci on or off

I have a Dell M70 and with mine it's just a sometimes thing... not every other time. Maybe there is something more wrong in your case.

On my machines you can take the cards out. I actually said reseat it, meaning you should open your laptop, find the card, take it out, then put it back in. You may wanna do some research to see if your card is removable before you start taking things apart.

My bios sure is missing alot, theres no mini pcmcia or pcmcia and it will only let me set my video ram to 32 mb when mine has intel extreme 2 with 64 mb, and its strange my laptop came with intel extreme graphics 1 drivers installed also not 2 :/
