I heard some pple posting that they had a MJ-12 m5500i instead of the Area-51 m5500. Is there a difference? Becuz I can't see it on the alienware website! Just curious.

I have this memory installed in my Inspiron 14R. 6gb (one 2gb & one 4gb). Great performance! I highly recommend Kingston.

I was one who got suckered into the MJ-12. Some of the promises that were made was an additional battery life of 1 hour over the standard m5500i. This turned out to be pure BS.
When I complained to Alienware the best answer that I received arrived just this evening (from Adrian Vindas):
When the Area 51 m5500 was launched it came with a 6 cell battery, however later on a new 9 cell battery was released.
Of course battery life can be decreased depending on the type of usage and the hardware being used, for example a system used for gamming or watching movies will deplete its battery sooner that a system used for office work, and a system with an integrated video card will consume less power than a system with a discreet graphics adapter.
We will pass along the information to our webmaster for him to perform the pertinent updates.
Great... so they are stating they made an error in advertising the MJ-12 was a leaner, meaner version of the standard m5500i that lasted 25% longer. Man, was I suckered!
