5680 Direct Car Adapter (lighter plug-in power thingy)

Just thought I'd let everyone know that the car power adapter works like a champ. This past weekend I was in the car for 4 hours. Then a 4 hour drive back home. No problems whatsoever. Well, except for veering off the road six times while playing Half-Life. "Strafe left. AGH! Steer right!" I'm kidding. I did, however, play some games while in the passenger seat. The wife played a LOT of Spider Solitaire on the way home.
I can only imagine how handy this would be for people that have kids old enough to enjoy watching DVDs in the backseat.

The Direct Car Adapter gets 5 happy nannas.

That's excellent news. Do you have it direct wired or just plugged into the lighter socket?

MARQUISDARQUIS, I had it plugged into the lighter socket. Not sure what you mean by direct wired. An image comes to mind of a wire dangling outside the car going from the notebook to the battery terminals.


I ordered the car adapter as part of my Sager shipment.

I ordered my adapter with the laptop assuming it would work fine and it did.
