the 4800mAH 6-cell should get at least 2:30 on normal use. The article mentions a 9-cell battery that is likely the same as on the MS-1036, and provides over 3 hours on that machine.

Their 'intensive tests' also rate the battery a "good", which in normal circumstances any of us would rate "horrible" at 1:34, so they must really be beating on it.

Unleaded or I will let you know the real deal when the US-specced machines come in.

Ouch, 1:34... This was one of the ones I was considering as well. Lets hope the that other people turn in better battery times with MS-1039.

I imagine that the Centrino (and possibly Yonah) will get better battery time with the X1600. Anyone know when MSI and/or Asus are coming out with Yonah (Duo) based notebooks without integrated graphics?

No timeframes yet on the MSI Duos with dedicated graphics.

The Pentium M machines have done slightly better in battery life than the AMD models. We'll see if that continues with the newer systems.

I have provided this review link to MSI in the U.S. I am awaiting their reply as to battery life.

I think the 1:34 battery life is under stress. According to this article http://laptoptrends.com/?p=32#more-32 the battery life should be approximately 3 hours. The other bummer is the keyboard. It seems that the Europeans received a similar keyboard to the 1029 . Hope the US specs are differennt, and I can't wait no longer for at least the release date lol.
