Thanks for the compliments. Many people are shocked at the room inside the 350Z for taller/larger drivers and passengers. The hardest part is getting in and out with the car being somewhat low to the ground. You should check one out.

Thank you, the wheels are 19" Volk LE37Ts in silver. This was the first set every sold in the US

m5500 still in phase 3, not much movement thus far to make the March 6th ship date, but I have faith. Just wish I would have received the "Instant" rebate that is now offered instead of the "Mail-in" one that was on the website just the other night when I placed my order

Bummer, mail in rebates suck.

You can cancel it and reorder...

Just received email this morning that 512MB SODIMMs are on backorder WTF!!! Plus my "phase" is still 3, 5 days after ordering the thing and 3 days before they said it would ship?? They should not be advertising a 5 day turnaround if they can not deliver. I made sure not to add any items to my config that said "May Delay Order" !#$!@$!@#$%!@ I may come across worked up, but I am sort of lauging at this point wondering if Alienware can truly come through. I personally work in a customer service field and one thing you simply do not do is advertise expectations that you can not meet. We shall see come next Monday. I emailed them back and suggested they use a 1024MG chip instead of 2 512MB chips and if they wanted a little more money, I would entertain their offer.

I played the Backorder game as well , took nearly 2 months to get my desktop . I hated the wait but it was worth it in the end . Good luck man , I know what a pain it is to have to wait .

2 Months!!! I really wanted an Orange Voodoo laptop to match my car (I know, a little crazy but kinda cool ), but didn't want to deal with a 2 month wait and pay the premium price just for looks, I mean at least the Alienware laptop looks good and has features no one else has. Man I really hope RAM doesn't take long to get in stock or there will be a lot of delays, not just mine.

Well they offered to change out the 6800 Ultra that was back ordered with an ATI card , but I'm an Nvidia Fanboy so I opted to wait .

Just got off the phone with Customer Support. They said I could pay an additional $210 for the 2x1024MB SODIMM option, but the change in order would delay my computer build. Not what I wanted to hear. I really wanted the computer before the 15th for specefic reasons and realize issues can arise with any company. Just wish they wouldn't advertise this or they could at least keep the website up-to-date on part delays.

Memory is back in stock and computer is now in phase 5 Hopefully things go well from here and they do not run into problems during the build or testing phases. It would really be nice to still have it for a long trip that is coming up as I would have a lot of time to get to know the lappy quite well and be able to play with the various features and overall functions. As I keep reading other experiences, I keep praying that mine will be one of the good ones. I must say that the individuals that I have spoken with on the phone have been very friendly and pleasing to work with. I found that to be comforting and hopefully a good sign if problems arise later on.
