Sorry to hear about the backwards movement in the phases, but it is truely a good thing. It means they really did check out the system and deemed it unworthy. Troll these forums and you will see every person, or most at least, complaining about their computers had received something that did not work from the get go; suggesting to me that it didn't even get looked at for QA.
At least they checked yours, and found something wrong and are fixing it before sending it out.
I actually just got a similar rig to you, m5500 with the 1.7 cpu and 128 nvid card and 1gb ram and standard screen, and luckily rec'd a flawless product. My process time was about 2 weeks start to finish, but worth the wait. It is a nice lappy, but everytime I read these forums I fear for it! So many people have issues..but luckily so far so good.
It does perform really well though, its quick in every aspect I have tested it. It honestly doesnt get that much use though, as I use my desktop for 95% of my gaming needs, I just bought this system for traveling and school to check email and such. The laptop is actually a bit large for my taste to be honest. It is barely a month old, and I would actually consider selling it for the price I paid for it, with 2 year warranty I think I paid about 1500 bucks.
Not sure if I would buy another AW if I sold this one, because I rarely use it for gaming, I think I would just buy the smallest thing out there I could find.
PM me if interested in purchasing it. I have everything it came with, including original packaging still.
