What settings do you run HL2 on?

My specs:

1.66Ghz
1024Ram
80GB HDD
256 Geforece 7800 default clock speeds


I'm just about to start HL2 over again on my new system, and wondered what settings other people are running to for optimum play vs looks. Res, textures etc...

Is that core duo or not?

Either way, those are good specs...how about you try...max settings? No seriously, that should work just fine.

Sorry, yes, core duo. I've tried everything up to max but it doesn't seem to like the highest resolutions, a bit of tweaking gets it better but I was curious about how everyone else is running it, as I am having some tearing issues in other graphics applications....which I'm trying to establish are related or not.
