popping in audio on ferarri

While playing DVD's or winamp and a few other programs I'm getting like popping or clicking during the audio playback. it's not severe it's just annoying. Anyone hear of this problem?

It's a brand new ferarri 4006wlmi

www.realtek.com.tw -> downloads -> ac97 codec and download the new drivers.

p.s. just out of curiosity what is the version of your sound card drivers? mine is 5.10.0.6020 which is the latest

Have you tried turning down and off the Line-In volume?

It wasn't distorting it was just popping not clipping.

Actually the update with the new AC97 drivers did the trick.

Yes, that driver update has fixed many an Acer notebook that was having popping/chirping noises during certain audio playback (for me it was during gaming, but not playing movies or music).

Glad it worked for you as well.
