8204 Slowdowns

about 1x per day I get a drastic slowdown on the 8204. This occurs when I am docked to the EzDock. The mouse moves very slow and the the computer is not usable. Task Manager lists ati2evxx.exe as the culprit...peaking the proccessor.

I understand this is ATI driver....is it really a necessary file? Can I delete it? Is there a better idea?

It actually is just an application that deal with hotkeys. You can disable it from your services.

I really hate all the crap ATI installs with their driver.

Thanks, the only service I see is ATI Hotkey Poller (in Admin Tools/Services)

I have two 8204's on the EZDocks and I can't say that I've seen this problem.

I disabled the service and so far it has not returned.

btw- I am using the Omega drivers.
