Internet explorer issue Again

Ok, Internet Explorer will not work on my laptop. I am still having the issue that I posted about before (Internet Explorer takes about 3-4 minutes to load up, even though I have nothing running in my start menu) Now I can not login to alienwareforums.com. I'm on my desktop right now. On my lappy, I go to alienwareforums.com and I'm on the mainpage and logged in. However, when I click on one of the forums, it logs me out. When I type in my login name and password, it brings me to the notebookforums.com logged in. However, when I click on a forum, it logs me out again. Any ideas? Everything all settings are set to default and it only started a week ago. Thanks everyone!

I had weird stuff with IE and forums. I switched to Mozilla. I still keep IE around because Mozilla doesn't get along with pdfs but otherwise I love Mozilla. Give it a try.

I've been thinking about it, but I would rather fix the problem then just ignore it

Did you do any searching of the microsoft support site on this?

Yea, I posted on their forums and they said "this is not a known issue with internet explorer" and they said someone would contact me within 24 hours. That was 3 days ago

I cannot think of anything else but to patch the crap out of that IE, or just blow that profile away. That is all I can think of, or would do. Sorry.

The login problem happens on all of my logins. I created a new one, and it still happens. I did patch the hell out of IE as well...no luck

So does this happen only on your laptop? If so what programs do you have on your laptop that your desktop does not have?

Power Strip, INcd, and Remote master are running on my lappy and not on my desktop. Anyone have any problems with these programs and startup?

So this laptop has the os loaded by AW still? If so, maybe something got corrupt when they loaded it. I wonder if you can download internet explorer and re-install it...hmmm might want to check MS site. Although, probably not possible since they are all hell bent on the windows update thingy. Maybe a fresh os install is in the order here.

That's what I'm thinking. It's really weird because it just started one day. ERG!!

You just need a decent spyware remover, sounds like you have some nasty conflicting adware on your system.

I am sure Micro$oft would love to have you fix all that's wrong with IE, though I don't know if you and any army of techs could do what the Micro$oft army of programmers have mucked up.

They say discretion is the better part of valor, and this is one of those cases where you have to decide how much time and energy you are willing to put into something that is hopeless.

This is something thats wrong with MY computer, not something microsoft did. I didn't have this issue when I first got my laptop, so it's something I DID. So Don't say it's hopeless, everything can be solved with time.
