Any info on the 640m?

So I have been searching and can find nothing else other than the initial leaks about the 640m. Has anyone else been able to find anything? All this talk about the new 6400 along with the new coupons is driving me nuts.

Thanks,
Eric

Elkq, the E1405 is 1-2 months away from release.

SirBA, the E1205 won't be around for A WHILE, don't hold your breath on that model. It will be closer to the end of the Yonah releases / beginning of the Merom releases when that model is ready to come out. And no, don't expect them to wait for Merom... they just are waiting for the full availability of Core Solo and Core Duo ULV chips to be put into large production by Intel.

SirBA,
So you already have the 1705 and you want to add the 710 replacement. You looking to have each end of the Dell spectrum? What do you think of the 1705?

Thanks Jax, the info had been flowing in for the 6400 and I hoped the 640m would follow.

I just sold my old 8500 and still have my trusty 600m that could take just about anything from the minute by minute power surges on an aircraft carrier to my 1 year old dropping it from above his head. Obviously I don't use my laptops for games, I have a desktop for that.

Thanks again.

I don't know if it is a precurser or not but as of today there is longer an option to purchase the baby workhorse that was the 600m.

I have one of these for the wife and generally purchased those for everyone that came to me wanting a portable machine to do email, internet and possibly watch a dvd. Nothing special but it did the trick for the right price.

The 600m hasn't been available for almost a week or about a week now. I really love mine and am glad I got one. It really is a great machine.

A week sounds about right, I just slicked one for a friend on Tuesday that we ordered last week. I bet I spec 2 of those a month. Today I a buddy up to the E1505 since the 600 was not available and he had a bit more to spend.

Is this just your opinion, or was this stated somewhere. Sad that it'll be so long Guess i'll get the 640m when it comes out then.

My 600M has been the best computer I've ever owned, but after 3 years I'm soooo ready for the e1405 ......... without the 600M being available, I'm thinking the e1405 should be coming out sooner rather than later.... from what I've read the end of March should be the latest it will come out...... but you never know...... unfortunately, there hasn't been too much info as of late..... my guess is that is will sneak up on us in the next week or two... just a guess......

How do you know this? You think there's any chance of them being available by mid April?
