i dont want to use the middle guide to move the mouse around, how do i disable it?

are you talking about the little controller between the keys? The stick pointer?

Are you randomly hitting it or something, 'cuz it really doesn't affect daily typing usage the way it's countersunk.

I believe the thumb pad and the mouse pointer are controlled by the Alps Touchpad software. There should be a configuration tool for it. If you don't see one, upgrade to the most recent drivers for you laptop touchpad at Dell

Then you should be able to configure settings like touch sensitivity, and hopefully, the stick pointer.

i think with new software u can do this ... but i'm not 100% sure because i dont have my lappy with me
