Hey ive got a sentia. the one with the 12" screen. this morning i took it downstairs and used it on battery power. then. i brought it back up stairs, left my house and forgot to plug it back in.. it died and when i go to start it back up it powers, all the lights on the left come on for a second then go out like usual. then the hdd light comes on for like 2 seconds then goes out however the computer is still on. the alien eyes are not on and neither is the screen, i let it go for a little bit but nothing. any one know what the deal is??

I've no idea. But were it me, I'd try to isolate it, i.e. See if it starts up with just the adapter, no battery, or vice versa...you've still got warranty, true? Also call them an' see what's up. An'...well, I've no idea.
One thing it might be, long shot, but possible, is the input is stuck on external mode, an' therefore simply Fn+I think f4 would switch it back, but that's a long shot given what you describe.
Also see if it'll boot off of a CD. Or if you can get into BIOS at all, etc. As I'm sure you already know an' have done. *Rolls Eyes at self for being so obvious an' unhelpful*

Just leave it on charge for a few hours turned off, and see how it goes, your battery is likely totally drained, as such even a hours charge may not be enough.

As said before remove your battery and run on AC does that not work?

its been on the charger for 24 hours probably and the green light is on on the front.

and yeah only battery doesnt work, only ac doesnt work, ac and battery doesnt work, and obviously.. having neither of them in works. :-p

You know, I think you may've hit on something here. We must appleal to the Gods of computering, let us gather together tonight an' sacrifice a Virgin Tenor in their honour<<Girls, after all, being much too fun to make a proper sacrafice, an' tenors not really being all male...well, I digress>>
In any case, I've figured out how to fix this: Magic!

If it works w/o a battery or a cord... why are you complaining when u plug one of those 2 items in and it stops working???
Heck, Id take it to vegas......hehe

just a silly question, but are you holding the powerbutton down for longer than 5 seconds when "turning it off"? and less than 5 seconds when turning on? does PowerCinema work?

Call them anyways, they probably won't charge you a penny just for diagnosis.

they are supportive if you are patient and easy going. since your warranty is up, they really dont have to do anything, but if you act kind , they will normally be more than willing to helpyou out.
