I am going to order my first alienware computer or laptop. I just wanted to know your opinions on whether it is a good time, having to wait a month for assemby and with new technology right around the corner, is it worth it or should I wait. What is your opinions. Aswell, I am from Canada, has anyone else ordered who lives in Canada? what were the border fees?
thanks for your time,
Jon

i would rather get amd now, I'm plannign to get a voodoo m:855. Because of this I would think they lowered there prices as the 855 is the fastest out there and alot cheaper. Just has 64mb GPU which hopefully will have 128 or 256mb soon

New technology is always around the corner. If you hold off to wait for the next technology, you will never be able to buy. The price to pay for latest and greatest is also high, which gives another reason to wait. Buy now what Alienware offers, it is top notch and the prices have gone down.

I planned to wait, then I changed my mind and figured that I could easily sell my Alienware Laptop in the event a new one comes out. Happened when I brought my previous 2 mobile phones. As soon as I brought it, a new model came out ...

Jon, I am from Canada, they calculate all the fees and stuff on to your initial price. You pay the GST straight to them so when they ship your computer to you, it comes straight to you no additional costs.
