how much returning customer discount can i get?

Hey everyone,
I have a friend who has purchased 4 desktop and recently a laptop all from Dell. Everytime he ordered from dell, he never asked for returning customer discount. Now his brother wants to get a inspiron 8600 but has a budget. He doesn't want to spend more then 1200 on a laptop and I told him about the Inspiron 8600 with ati 9600 pro which came out to be around 1600. Since he is done business with dell so many time, how much discount you think he should get and ask for?

I have seen some posts about people geting about 200 dollars off but I feel he should get more since he is a student and money doesn't come easy for him. Also the recent laptop he got has 1 bad pixel very small and the UPS guy was like 2 day's late, which dell did give a reimbursement but is going to take a month.

How do you think Dell will handle this matter?

I myself am planning to get the voodoo m:855 with the new ati 9600 128mb card Its going to own

typically a returning customer gets offers via email or snail mail some as high as 15% off even trusted financing for no money down and next payment as far as 6 months ahead of time. you should call pre sale or customer support and ask for any special deals pertaining to your account at dell. believe me they care im a returning customer my third laptop i got 150 off plus a free upgrade in warrenty from 1 year to 3 years

i would like to point out 1200 is a completely optimistic budget for a class of laptop he wants maybe if he could stretch it to 1500 he could do it but 1200 wont get you even the basic system for any company. and stay away from the m855 try hypersonic instead there build times are greatly increased over voodoo pcs for pretty much the same models minus tatoos

hypersonic is worst then voodoo. They don't offer upgrades as well or the 128mb ati.
You must be imaptient man to over look voodoo, becaUSE VOODOO definetly much better. The only thing i see from them is better paint color and no dead pixel guarantee.

30-60 day build time?

VooDoo meets high quality standards and as of yet there has only been 2 graphics cards available to Voodoo for upgrade which is from the 64mb M10 to the 128mb M10-p

look at reselleratings, hypersonic customer and tech support are not better then voodoo. Hypersonic is not as thorough as voodoo when it comes to burning but would you rather wait 30-60 days or get a laptop in 2weeks ending up with problems and cannot be upgraded ever ?

the m:855 also performs better then the aviator. there both same cases but its the company behind that matters and that is voodoo

I didnt say Hyper Sonic was a bettery company i was merely stating that the build times are greatly accelerated with Hyper Sonic compared to VooDoo PC. usually by the time one recieveces there laptop from voodooPC there model will already be 1-2months behind other retailers. Its also very difficult to swallow VooDooPCs prices most people who choose dell also consider prices.

true voodoo are slower in building, but in the end you get what you pay for, and a fuzzzy good feeling that you have a voodoo
