I ordered my Area 51m on December 6th it is now January 20th I have called them emailed them and just about jumped on a plane to visit them. I have been told by three (3) people over the phone "it is going to ship today or tomorrow. That was on the 11, 13m and the 16th. I called and spoke with a Supervisor on the 19th who specifically told me he would call me back ( never did) I called and spoke with his supervisor today who assured me that they will ship it today. =----- question... I have a Voodoo PC in a shopping cart now as I type.. Should I cancel my Alienware and hit "order now" on the VoodooPC ? One thing for Certain... if this Alienware doesn’t Blow my Mind... I will make sure every single person I know; Freind, Enemy, Colleague client And Acquaintance Will hear about Why I don’t think they should go with Alienware.

I suggest wait on the alienware.
i am very happy with my alienware and Im sure you would be too I fyou feel you realy need to jump ship right at the last moment then I guess you gotta do what is right for you. I understand that is a lng time to wait and they shoudl compensate you for it some how be ia gift card your something. Im sure if you wait till the alien ware ships you will be verry happy with your purchase baseides if you orver a voodoo now it will be at leasta week or two till you get that one if you wait that long for you alineware you will have it by then if it is ready to ship now. The CSR's do get thier facts messed up fromtime to time and give out wrong info but once you get it all that is over and you are free to enjoy your investment. From the words of the customer Service Supervisors - Supervisor ( I think that might equate to manager but I am not sure. )" We are not practicing any compensation programs at this time, I am sorry I cannot help you." - Roger Robleto

Well I "went over their heads" you might say and talked directly to the sales department... "I am really sorry sir as you know we here at alienware do not work that way... Let me see what we can do for you... (Pause place me on hold, get disconnected... 5 minutes later calls me back) Here is what we can do for you. we can toss in a baseball cap for your troubles."
first of all Toss in ... not what I would have said. second 45 days I wonder if they know what that means in the computer industry. oh wait I think they do ... baseball cap.
I have to admit though ... the Sales depart is good at calling you back. that was a major Plus

Dear Mr. ds613:
Greetings from Alienware!
As promised, I tried to get you the best compensation we can offer. At this moment, you can choose between a t-shirt, a mug or a visor. If you don’t mind, I would like to suggest you to go for the t-shirt. It seems a better deal and they are really cool!
Please e-mail me or give me a call once you decide, so we can add it to your order.
Best regards,

Dear DS613:
Greetings from Alienware!
Let me reassure you that you will be totally satisfied with this system, not only because it is a high quality computer. You will be getting exactly what you wanted. It is YOUR computer.
Regarding the t-shirt I recommended in the last e-mail, I was aware you have one for free on your order, but I was suggesting another one. However, if you would like one of the other two options (mug or visor), please let me know. I am here to help.
Best regards,

----- my Response ------
Dear XXX,
Thank you for your help I really do appreciate your efforts; however the work I do hear at my firm doesn’t allow me to wear T-shirts very often. I interface with Clients every day. The mug and the visor I fear would simply go to waist. Due to my day to day schedule I have already wasted way to much time on this, and lost many hours due to not having this system within the 20 days as promised. I ordered this system to use with programming media spots and design concepts. My CEO is breathing down my neck about not having a mobile system to work on the road and at home. This is beginning to interfere with my work and my career as you can see this is far more then an “Awesome most cool powerful gamming System”. The one thing I asked for was honest and up to date information. In the last 12 days I have had nothing but Promises of ship dates and return phone calls. All of which have been missed.
So far I have been extremely disappointed in the Customer Service department and quite frankly, I am disgusted. You have been the one person so far that I have contacted that has given me a glimmer of hope. I know you are going above and beyond your call of duty I understand you are not in the Customer Service Department and I really do appreciate your efforts. I implore you to pass this on to the powers that be, and maybe in their infinite customer service wisdom will come up with some kind of compensation plan than will both make your customers happy and loyal. Until that time, I will rely on Hope, Trust and I will pray that all the rumors are true and this system is the best on the planet.
Please understand since I have ordered this System Alienware has announced:
New 64 bit processor
New Colors
New Mobile Transport Bags
Upgradeable mobile Graphics Technology
Free shipping
100 instant rebate for Green Cases
To name a few…
I am sure that there is something in there that could be offered as an apology for being 25 days off schedule… In my experiences, my clients would have fired me and my firm if I was 25 days late on a deadline.
Once Again, I thank you XXX for bending over backwards for me, Aienware’s Customer Service department could learn a lot form their own Sales department.
