I read that scores will be under the 1000 or 2000 point range. I wonder how that 22K+ machine in 3DMARK2001 will do in the new one.

Cheers.

WOW,WOW, this seems to be the release that all the world was waiting for!!!!!!!!!
Maybe is better to wait a couple of days to download this piece of gold, when the demand slowdown.

Well most servers are pretty much crawling because of excessive downloading. But I got mine at Gamespot - am a premium member there; and after running it on my desktop rig, the score was 996 (AMD XP 1900+, GF3 Ti500, 512 MB RAM).

I'll run it on my Sager in a minute and report how it goes.

Noooooooooo

Will thou dishonor me thus!!

The wizard beat me to it again

hee hee - Long time no post wizard? maybe it was me spending too much time with the 5660 to get back in action at the forums...

Either way - I am currently downloading from Gamespot as well...

lessee...

Well, I've kinda resolved not to read the Sager forums too often these days - it's kinda depressing to have to read this new spanking toy I've bought now has better upgrade options for it that weren't available - and all in the space of a single week - painful. The most distressing of this was the surprise release of the wide angle screen available for the 5660 barely a week after I got the 5660. Yeah, the continual progress of technology and so on, but still...

OK - running 3dMark2003 on the 5660 now - report how it goes in a minute!

lol, I can't find the compression they used. I downloaded the zip file, but Windows XP, FilZip, WinZip, and PKZip can't unzip it. Anyone have a .zip cure all? I'll run it on the 8887 if I can get the thing unzipped

OK - here's what my Sager 5660 scored (specs are below in my signature).

It took six tries for the test to run. The first three times - using 6218 drivers - the whole machine hung and required a hard reset. I reverted back to the original Sager drivers from the driver disc, and the fourth and fifth tries did not complete either, also requiring a hard reset. The sixth try using the same original drivers finally worked. No over clocking was carried out in any of the tests either.

All five crashes occured at the Game Test 3 (the one with the sword fighting babe).

Hey Pctorque, give WinRAR a try. That's a compression fix-it-all. Opens EVERY compression imaginable... If it's not zip, it'll try some other format.
Well, the file seems to come in different flavours - at least several of the free download servers are carrying the file as an executable file; but the one I got mine from - Gamespot - had it zipped up, and it uncompressed normally without any hitches.

Huh!?

Everything was choppy except for the first test - I made 929 3D Marks...

This is with the 6255 drivers...

I dont know what to say i'll wait till others try it before becoming upset or overjoyed !!
