Saving and restoring RealPlayer settings, preferences etc.

I want to format and re-install my wife's laptop, but she will not let me do so, unless I can assure her that all her RealPlayer settings will be the same after the re-install.

The settings include:
- the scores that she's given to different songs (some playlists are dependent on these - play only songs that have received 4 or 5 etc.)
- album, song and performer names that have been manually entered into the system (not recognised from the CDs themselves).
- some playlists

So, how to make sure that these settings will be restorable when I reinstall the whole system? I checked the RealPlayer prefs etc. but there was no clear way how to do this...

Try the database backup ( http://home.real.com/product/help/rp...references.htm ) and try to restore that backup to a different PC, see if what you want to preserve is in the backup. I don't know if that will work or if it will capture all you want to preserve, but if it were me, that's what I'd try.

Thanks!

I ended up just copying the db folder in the user settings folder and it seems to have worked. At least my wife's not complained about anything missing yet...
