Help with upgrade

Okay... Here is my problem.. I was going to upgrade my desktop.. I started buying components.. new DVD burner.. new HD.. Then I realized I really wanted a laptop.. Now I have several components (well 2 that I really care for) that will have no machine to be put into.. I was wondering if there is any case I can buy to put the new HD (ATA 133) and hook it up to a laptop.. same with the DVD burner.... firewire interface maybe? Maybe something better?

Thanks!

Did a quick search and found this:

Don't know if it's 133 or not . . . but if it's new enough to have USB 2.0, I would guess it is. I saw another one with just USB, but I think with Firewire AND USB, you'd be happier with this. Maybe I'll get a couple of these too . . . If you get one (or something else), let me know how it works.

UPDATE: Maybe this would work, too: http://www.coolgear.com/productdetai...&catid=312,313

As you suspected and Silver Zero found out quickly enough, there are cases galore for all sorts of drives. So do not despair, you will have a use for those components.

An external drive is a wonderful thing to have. Its one of the easiest, fastest and most secure ways to do backups. And a good place to keep all those things you'd rather most people didn't have access to all the time.
