i thought you were trying to get the 6.2 drivers working with your x1400. The procedure I gave should work - it did with my x1600. Not without a fair amount of pain along the way.
I installed the Omega drivers a few weeks ago. I've been having problems where I'll click on a button and it will stay on the screen, sitting above all other images on the screen. But that's not the real issue.
I can't get the ATI Tray Tools to let me clone my display onto a VGA monitor. I've got a presentation coming up next week and I'm thinking I'm going to have to reinstall the ATI drivers.
