When I had my HP I could download game demos and such very fast (for wirless) now even though it sasy I have a good connection, I can't even log in to this forum. Is it the Intell card? Should I have dell fix this and just put in the dell card? Is the dell card better?

I have never seen anyone with so many different issues surrounding one computer.

Computer problem or user error? Maybe you should just have Dell replace the whole thing to rule out the former.

are you still in your 21 day period? I would return it. You dont seem o be having any luck.

I am using the intel card for at least 6hrs a day and it works great for me.

there are some issues with the support for wireless connections, so you shuold rigth click on it and hit repair, if it succeds, the update drivers and software, also it migth be a problem of the security config of your network. Im using wap2 with aes encription and it works sweet.

Do you see how every one had great inoformation.....and you don't? Jumbie if you don't like me/my post then don't click on them man. So what If I am having problems, and if I ask about them. Maybe there not problems maybe it's all me, is it your job in this forum to let users know it's them? Chill out dude!

Going to sub in my Atheros 5004 SuperG card ASAP once the lappy arrives today. It's a no-brainer to kill the Intel card and go with a real wireless card with much less bloatware for drivers. Others will say otherwise and they are welcome to their opinions, but nothing tops the Atheros wireless IMHO.

I said it before... lurk more, dude. Everyone starts somewhere and that's cool, but I suggest you take your own advice, chill, and learn something.

Oh, and use spell check.

I am bro, I learn by asking what I want to learn....Or should I just hope some one ells post up what I want to know?

any way yes this 9400 is so far nothing but trouble. I think little by little I am fixing it up to waht I want. The only way I am able to do this is by knowing what's going. See now I know my intell card is not doing it's job. I just thought it was my server.

I, really don't want to spend the time to spell check, but I take it that you would do this for me. So thanks

So let me get this straight, you want information, which is already all over the forums, yet you start a NEW thread to ask a question that is already asked and answered simply because you do not want to LURK and LEARN, then you get into tiffs with the very people who "could" help and you alienate them.

I am failing to see how this is a good way to get "good" info. Maybe I am missing the social enginering tactic hidden in your posts. Maybe its just me, maybe i am just old.

i have to say i love my intel pro wireless, if it was the most expensive one that was available, thats what i have and it works great.

The wireless on the 9400 Sucks

I have reinstalled windows, and replaced 2 laptops 9400, and still same problem
i keep losing massive amount of packets when i ping my Dlink router.
my othere systems that are wireless are runing perfect with zero package lost at all. I dont know if it is a problem with Mixing Dlink and Inter wireless products
post #14 of 27
maybe your Dlink router sucks
I've always had horrible experience with Dlink routers wow haha, My Linksys and Intel wireless are getting along really well!!

I made some changed in networkcard device
and set everything to default and now it works ok
no drops anymore

Did you all try making it the same channel? Cutting out the other bands? Making sure that the power settings are properly done? Really I didn't even have to do any of that, and I still have had no discontects with this baby. I'm not even running the PROWireless software, and I'm running of the attenna from the DSL modem itself.

cloak i suggest u return it... or email them asking for a replacement.... just talk to the online hardware chat, and cut and paste ALLLLLL your problems and demand they send u a new one and u'll send the old one back...

seriously.

Ask for the Broadcom one, as I have heard it can be more reliable than the Intel one.

Remove the Intel PRO/Set Wireless package. Then download the latest PRO/Set package from Intel. Install ONLY THE DRIVER (the first option in Custom/Advanced install). This way Windows can manage the wireless connection properly... because the Intel application does a shit job.

It'll work like a champ after that, the 2200BG does for me.
