XTreme-G MobileForce 84.12-v2.30 GS RELEASED!!!

This driver set is version 84.12-v2.30 GS. This is the first fairly major change to come to the drivers in quite a while... First up, what is this "GS" about? Well, it stands for "Golden Sample" as there are just frankly too many "XT"s, "GT"s, "Pro"s, and "Plus"s out there, so I was looking for something a bit different... The major addition that "GS" is is a new bundle with one of my personal favorite tweaking programs, NVTray\NVTweak. You have the option of installing the bundled program at either the end of Setup (where you also have the option of installing the drivers and viewing this ReadMe) and as an icon in the Start Menu. The other changes are in the form of the new v2.30 TweakSet. These tweaks aren't anything astoundingly new, but have been "trimmed up" a bit. I hope everyone has fun!!!

Hey Tony, I didn't try this driver yet but I have the last one and I have 2 small issues. I don't know if this new driver has the fixes but I'll ask anyway.

The first issue is, in the settings the temp reads 104c. Not that big of a deal but seemed odd.

Now the main issue I am having is I would like to be able to "hot swop" 3 different monitors and get the driver to remember all their settings for each. First one is the laptops 1440x900 LCD, 2nd is my 21" Viewsonic at 1280x1024 via VGA, and 3rd is my Hitachi HDTV 720p via DVI. Is this possible?

my 3dMark3005 score went up from 6472 to 6531 by switching to these new drivers

The temp issue is probably something to do with your card rather than the drivers, as that seems exceedingly high, and no one else reported any other issues as this. Maybe try blowing out your vents and seeing if that helps . Otherwise, it might just be a misread, unless your laptop is UBER-hot where the videocard sits.

Unfortunately, I have no way of testing\troubleshooting that kind of environment as I only have the laptop and my one monitor at my disposal, but my laptop keeps the resolution, etc. settings for both monitors (laptop is 1440x900 while the monitor is 1280x1024). If its not keeping the settings for all 3, then you might have to manually switch resolutions for all of them (as I said, my knowledge of multi-monitor setups is fairly limited).

Tony, why are you still overriding OpenGL to 1.5? With the Riddick patch out long time ago, i don't think it is needed.

Well, my lappy is 4 weeks old and I just installed my 6800 Ultra with AS5, so I am pretty sure the temps should be pretty low.

Also, the Nvidia settings read 104c at idle I was pretty worried until I finally installed I9Kfangui. With I9Kfangui, it said my GPU was at 39c when at idle.

Like I said, it is a new lappy and I just added my 6800 Ultra...
