can u post here?
I heard that It is ugly as hell, because of too big border around the screen!
What do u think?
I can't wait to have it! anyways! If it is not ugly as hell! hehehhe

I think that thats hardly something to base a decision of $290 on, as I have stated on plenty of threads on the subject. That being said, I dont think it looks ugly at all... the bezel is slightly larger on every side, but its not like its a full inch bigger. Remember, that 15" is DIAGONAL; from corner to corner.

At some point someone posted a picture of an 8890 with a smaller screen somewhere in these forums - but the bezel is not as large as that picture.

I have the 15". Its a superior screen in every aspect except size... And as we all know, its not the size that matters, but what you do with it.

There is a fair amount of area difference for that 1"

15"=108 sq in
16"=122.9 sq in

there are some pictures about the 16" and the 15" 8890 in the review forum, but I think the 16" looks to oversized. I think it has a bigger keyboard as well, they put the numkeys on to the right side of the keyboard so you don't have to use the FN key. I think I will go for the 15".
Can anyone tell, how good the angle view is compared to the 5680?

They are the same

From what I have red, the 15' LCD on the 8890 is the same LCD as the 15' on the 5680.

Look through the reviews section... You'll find answers you're looking for.
Also, look at the NUMEROUS posts over the past 2 days. This topic has been the focus of discussion about non-stop. And no matter what it comes down to, is the extra inch worth $299 (especially since hte 16" is less quality than the 15") , Personal Preference.... You know what you want, in your mind, you already know what you're getting, so just go for it!

Also the 2-3 week wait for a 16" screen, if you don't mind waiting the extra time, + spending the extra $300, then do it..

Is the "official" review of the 8890.. I wasn't able to find a picture of the 15" screen in a 8890, but I can't imagine it would look "THAT" horrible.

that is interesting to know, because I thought that the keyboard is different. So I was not able to find some pics on the 8890 15" either, that is kinda wiered.

So we have to see a 8890 on a 15", before I'm going to order one. Please post some, thx.

I believe the service manual for the 8890 has a picture of it with a 15" screen. Search the forums for it.
