Overheating with the sager 9750?

I am seriously considering purchasing a Sager 9750 very soon. My largest concern is whether or not the bleeding edge technology housed with in the D900T chassis is able to adequatly deal with the heat generated by an AMD x2 4800+ chip.

Has any one that has purchased a 9750, or a 9890, or anything using the D900T chassis and high end chips, run into any issues with over heating at all?

Any input on my question, or any other input about this particular model of laptop would be greatly appriciated.

I've had no heating issues at all...even while gaming. From what I've read around here, no one else has either. Atleast not from what I've seen.

Awesome, what about fan noise? I have heard from some that it is bad, but they are typically the people complaining about the weight, but to me 12 pounds is nothing at all to carry.

I take mine to work with me two to three times a week and the fan noise isn't noticeable at all there. I did take it to the library at my university once and you could definitely notice the noise, but it wasn't ridiculously loud...just loud compared to the environment. I never notice the noise at home or at work. And I agree, if this laptop is too much for someone to carry, they need to start lifting some weights. This is the perfect portable desktop for me. Hope this helps

Very helpful indeed my friend.

I am actually purchasing this laptop to take with me into the Navy, so I want something that is going to last for a long time, and still be on top of the game, or as much as possible when it comes to technology.

This is not a bleeding edge system. This chassis has been used as far back as the 9860. If you don't get a lemon, the machine is stable under heavy load.

I can't hear the laptop at all, except for a [really] high-pitched whine.

As for the whine, I can usually walk into a room and tell you there is a television on, even when the television screen is turned away from me, or on a blank picture.

Also, the fact I can't hear the fans probably has something to do with the fact it's sitting on a rackmount dual p2 266 with lots of fans in it.

In all seriousness, it's not bad.
