After having my dad go to Hong Kong, he couldn't find the acer 8204 laptop. So now im going to order from the states as i am currently in the Philippines. I was just curious what is the cheapest place to buy the laptop from. Also do the acer laptops from the states include the international warrenty?

The lowest i've see is from froogle at 2,399.00.

It would be greatly appreciated if you can include the website and the price listed on the website.

The International Warranty comes in the box. If you care to take the time to establish a commercial account with them PC Connection (www.pcconnection.com) will sell you the Acer for $2399, otherwise $2499, no tax plus free shipping in the US. Last I looked they had stock, but that changes almost daily. Great folks to buy from, however: very reliable.

I agree. PC Connection is very good. Newegg.com sometimes has better prices.

be aware that Acer does not offer a International Warranty. The ITW they offer is just for people that bought a notebook in country A and travel to any other country for no longer that 3 months. If you live permanently outside the country where you bought the notebook the ITW is no good for you. I had the same question regarding the warranty so I spent 1 month emailing Acer in the USA and the representative here in Chile to finally find that out. No one could give a straight answer the first time.

I know Toshiba and IBM/Lenovo offer a complete international warranty regardless you live permanently outside the country where you purchased the notebook.
