non pwm fan controller

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a fan controller that doesn't use PWM to control the speed of the fans. Every PWM fan controller i've tried just results in a tremendous buzzing of my 120mm fan on my heatsink at speeds below 90%. Anybody have/heard of a non pwm controller?

So what you are saying is that you need a fan controller that uses rheostats instead?

Basically, yes. I found one that was called the Rheobus, but nothing clarified wheather or not it actually used rheostats.

Any suggestions?
