Sorry if this is old news, I just found out that ati X1400 can be chosen for the graphic card on E1705 ($180). For the ones that still want to game but don't want to pay $300 for a nvidia 7800.

Too bad it's HyperMemory. Otherwise that's the card I'd pick.

Actually, no guarantee whether the x1400 in the I6400 will be HyperMemory or not. It was a concerned I voiced way back before they came out when I mentioned that it was only a 100$ upgrade on th I6400 - which meant it "might" be a HyperMemory card.

Well, I agree that it isn't a definite that it's Hypermemory. My packing slip also stated that my 7800 has 256MB of shared memory.

for 1705
"256MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory [add $179 or $5/month2]"
i think it'll be the same on the i6400

so, if they already have the video card (x300/x1400) why there's not an i6400D??

The 6400 card is almost certainly not the same form factor as the 9400 card. The two laptops have different cooling solutions, different sizes, different mobos, etc.
