average lifespan of a notebool lcd

How many years can I expect my notebook screen to live?
That is, under normal circumstances, and with daily usage of about 5-10hrs.

I have an acer aspire 5672WLMi.

i'd give 5 years easily. maybe more. i mean i've seen many things happen.

my thinkpad is going on 4 years old, mostly original parts (new ram and hdd...as upgrades, not repairs) and the screen is fine. my uniwill on the other hand had the 1st screen die within 1/2 year, but thats because the screen wasn't top quality, i think it was like the almost minimum requirement to just BARELY pass quality control. anywho, my new screen going on a year now jsut fine.

bottom line, don't freak out about it, enjoy your computer.

My ancient Dell's LCD has lasted for 10 years (still looks good) and my HP is going on six. Daily use for both laptops.

...possible. my bro dropped a thinkpad 380 on me that dates back to early 1990s ancient old brick with a pentium 1. screen was pretty craptastic compared to more modern computers..grante,d but it still works

if you set up incorrect for your lcd and you will short its life span. ( i believe... feel free to correct me)

Long enough that by the time your lcd breaks down, it's time for a new notebook anyways .

just turn the backlight off when you aren't using it, and it will last a long time
