just blew $770 bucks on 2 x Dell 2005FPW

There was a deal, and being the compulsive shopper I am, i dropped 770 buckaroos for 2x Dell 2005FPW shipped.

I was originally gonna get a 2405, but why not get 2x 2005fpw for less than 1x 2405fpw?

I don't know if i made the right decision... sigh...

On the brightside, i think its gonna rock when i hook them up to my e1705..

haha you're like me, buy it first then think about whether or not you really need it, thats what i did with the e1705 but i absolutely love it so no buyers remorse yet Good luck with those new monitors!!

now the hard part is waiting for them to come...

But in all honesty, i feel that monitors and other computer equipment are the MOST used items of all my purchases. I spent like 600 bucks on a watch that i never ever use, and i use my monitors/Laptop for like at least 6 hrs a day..

sigh.. there i go again justifying all my purchases...

HAHA I love it, I do the same man, I don't use my $600 video camera very often but its a DVD HandyCam and it's been great to use, especially on vacations and have had very little trouble with it. All of the "stupid" upgrades to my desktop, uhhhhh I needed them duh ......and yes waiting is the biggest pain in the ass.

here's a little taste of what you will be getting soon. It's my old setup, which was cool but i'd rather have my 2405fpw that i have now. ENJOY!

Will you be able to see 3 entirely different images on the two monitors and the lappy? Will XP manage this or do you have to run special software?

BTW, I'm jealous too.

didn't feel like paying $500 for a good desk tohandle those monitors. used them for awhile then sold the whole rig, now have a new nice desk and ONE 2405 worked out real nice. plus it's all not that expensive

XP will manage multiple monitors, the most I've even installed were 6 on a Win 98 machine so I'm sure XP will have no trouble with the 3!

The 9400/e1705 will only support 2 monitors at a time. I take it for your 6 monitors on Win98, you had minimum 3 video cards?

Oh, and if anyone's curious, here's a rought idea of what a 2x 2405FPW would look like (actually a 2405FPW + 22" HDTV):

it won't allow for the LCD to be used at the same time, not saying that it will but just saying that kinda sucks....i guess not really big deal lol......or what about svideo.....will it only mirror beyond 2 monitors?

So you now have a 2405 and previously had the 2005s but you wont spend a few bucks to get them off that table you stole from work?

I'd leave em right on that table too, its the computer that matters not the table lol....well at least to me
