How do you activate the card readers.....

I recently purchased a Sager with the usual compliment of media card readers. I can't find anything anywhere that talks about activation of them. Inserting a smart-media card accomplishes nothing (as in no new drive show up in Explorer), there is nothing mentioned in the Hardware manager...I'm stumped!

Any help would be appreciated.

What OS are you running?

I just installed XP x64, and the card readers worked fine out of the box.

Make sure it's turned on in the bios. Which to me is the 1st thing that comes to mind when you say it's not even found in explorer. If that's not working for you after you check the bios and insure it's on, I would pretty much go out on a limb and say it is defective.
