Ok, even with increased fonts, i cant get used to the truelife glare of my wuxga.

I feel like i should downgrade to a WXGA+ matte screen..

Anyone wanna do a swop with me?

Mine is the PERFECT LG WUXGA!
This is perfect, no light leakage, unlike some of the other samsungs..

This is atrade for WXGA+ (matte)!!!

I would require some top up tho...im trying to see if i can work out a deal with dell,

but i figure it would be a waste to send this PERFECT LG back considering so many out there have probs with their samsungs, going thru multi returns etc.

I'll be using the dual mons when the laptop is at home, but when i go travelling i dont see the point of having the trulife since i cant get used to the glossy...

i have very sensitive eyes... even when i use certain types of sunglasses, i get a bad headache..

Did you determine it was the glossiness rather than the rez? Dell also made a matte WUXGA that worked on both the 9200 and 9300.

Ya I often think my WXGA+ is hard to see in the sun so I'm assuming this wouldn't be a smart upgrade for me. Any opinioins?

Dell doesn't usually do those kind of swaps. Only "like for like." They'll probably tell you to return the machine and get a new one, and then they'll offer you bribes to keep the one you have.

And, in case anybody is interested, I just verified that the 9200/9300 LCD is *not* compatible with the 9400.

Because I have just about every Dell ever made, and I just did the swap to see if it would work.

They changed the way the brightness control works, it seems.

Ya I'd like the WUXGA in a matte finish but I dunno............If I get the opportunity it'll be a tough decision.

Sprockett,

Let me know if you find out from DELL that they are not willing to do the swap. If you end up having to send the entire machine back I'd be willing to pay some extra cash and swap you for one of the screens I was going to send back to DELL anyway. You could then put this screen on your system and send it back. I'm still trying to get an LG and DELL is pussy footing around.

Maybe only the inverter board is different? the inverter to lcd connector might be the same. I don't think they would change it.
