Hey all I have been reading on this board for some time now, but I finaly just decited to post my compy specs and say hi to everyone.

Area-51
P4 3.0GHZ 830
1 gig ram
dual Nvidia geforce 7800GT in Sli
Lacie 16x dual layer dvdRw w/lightscribe
Alienautopsy
3year warrenty
Alienrespawn
Blue chasis and blue alien ice lights
liquid cooled
160gb hard drive
Logitech speakers
Razer Diamondback mouse
Samsung SyncMaster 204T

I got my system in December and it had been wonderfull no problems what so ever, I was thinking about getting an upgraded sound card I only have the standard one that comes with the system.

That's a nice configuration. Looks like you got a lot of bang for your buck.

I assume you mean you're using the onboard sound on the motherboard. I've always had sound cards, but then the onboard sound has gotten better since my last purchase. If you have a good set of speakers though, I'd bet you'd be happy with the improvement. It's not really that expensive compared to other components.

Yes I have the onboard sound, that is what I meant, and I figured it would be a realitavely cheap upgrade, and since I like to watch movies/play games it could be worth it. Thanks for the warm welcome all!

welcome reton....about your sound card issue, you can pick up a sound blaster audigy 2 for under 100 bucks. not that bad considering the sound is amazing. while your at it, pick up some good speakers, such as klipsch(sp?), which are expensive but worth it, or creative, who have definitely stepped up in the speaker dept.
