Max Ram on a T30 ? and what kind...

I just got a T30 and it has 256 MB Ram... I'd really like to be able to get 1GB, if the lappy supports it!!

So, whats the max on this baby ?

And, what kinda chip does it use ? Is it the DDR 333 Mhz PC 2700 SODIMM 200 pin ? .. I have a couple of 256 MB RAM DDR2 533 Mhz PC 4200.. Would they be downward compatible with the T30 ?

Thanks guys!!

Odds are your T30 will need a 144pin pc133 sodimm as most of those had p4m chips in them. Some of the newer T30's did have pc2100 ddr. Just depends on your model number.

I popped the memory stick out and it's a PC2100 DDR @ 266 Mhz .. Now, whats the max. amount of memory I can add ?

With being a newer model, i would say 2gb is your max. 1gb is a definate.

Of course, if your T30 is anything like mine, your second memory slot will be dead. Good luck.

If you update your BIOS to the latest revision, you can run 2 x 1GB sticks of PC2100 memory in a T30.

I've got some ForSale here:

PM me if interested.

I vouch for Brent to get memory or general parts from. He is a safe trader/buyer/seller.
