Go 7800 24/7 OC Database

Thread Starter
Many of us are fanatics about tweaking the most we have out of our sytems. It is always tough to find that balance between performance, stability, and long term effects. What I would like to do is offer a single thread where people can compare their OC's, temperatures, fan controls, ambient temperature and stress they have on their laptops.

Ideally, this will allow people to gauge where they should comfortably be able to OC their cards and post questions about the tradeoffs with different settings.

I will gladly start, and then give way to the more technically informed. Please post your opinions about what you feel is "safe" for 24/7 use and your reasoning behind such (especially if it is either extremely high or low).

System: Core Duo 1.83ghz / 2GB 667mhz Dual Channel / 60GB 7200RPM / 350 Bluetooth / Truelife WUXGA 17" / Go 7800 / Clean XP Install/Reformat

Drivers - XtremeG Mobile 84.12
Fan Control - i9kfangui v 2.3 External Beta
Ambient Temperature - ~74 Farenheit
Typical Usage of 9400 - Web browsing, word processing, games, aol/msn
Games Played - BF2, HL2, AOE3, EQ2

OverClocked - (selected optimum from settings tab) 355/899 3D
Underclocked - my 2D settings are a bit underclocked
3dMark06 - consistently around 3080

Temperatures (as shown by Nvidia) - idle in XP I see about ~59-60 w/ fans on slow (~56-57 w/ fans on high)
- under load (playing BF2 or HL2) I see temperatures max out just under ~80

I have played around with settings, even going as high as a 374/909 OC and never noticed any artifacts. Just to be on the safe side I am trying to tune it down a little bit and haven't really noticed a difference. Also, it seems like the longer I have used my system, the temperatures have dropped a little. Of course, this could be a result of upgrading drivers ever so often.

EDIT: Added Neopolaris's suggestion to include ambient temperature (what temperature is the room your laptop is in)

Including the ambient temps is important too. Some would argue the others are meaningless without including them.

i would like to know too.. i feel the speed of the 7800go is rather slow =[..

i benchmarked with the default clocks with pcmark06 i get around 800 for each shader test.. while my desktop 6600gt gets around 600 marks for each shader test.. they seem way to close to me
