Oh k i was On the dell website today ready to buy a 9400. When i went to chooose the go7800 and it wasn't there. Thats one of the main reasons why i was going to purchase the 9400. There was a killer coupon on for today too I don't want no x1400 piece of poo. My 9600xt performs the same.

Does this mean a 9500 is coming out?

I dont think the 9500 is coming out.. maybe in two or three months. the 7800 is back order, this is why it's not available

or more cause i don't think memrom's will be ready for q3 since yonah's release (32bit memrom) seem pretty much like a gap filler cause 64 bit support is not ready

merom should be out by end of 06.

9400 should get a better gfx card before then too.

Since Intel has stated that Merom just requires a BIOS upgrade to drop into a Yonah motherboard, I'd say that Dell would do that and continue selling the notebooks they've already made and are currently manufacturing with the better processors. No need to do a new model just for that.
