carefull with that axe eugene!

I have had more trouble trying to update video drivers. for some reason i am lead to believe that the powerful components in our lappys are difficult for microsoft, and ATI to understand. My computer has crashed too many times because of video drivers. I'm sure you will be fine, but just do the installation right! Make sure that your old drivers are completely gone from your machine, and i don't know how to do that. you have to mod the 4.1's to install on a laptop. good luck. peace

Stealth - I answered this goddamn question in when you posted it in the OmegaVATIvDNA thread - how bout maybe you read the answers to posts instead of repeat posting and starting yet more threads. Or maybe Im thinking the search button might be something you might look into. I am tempted to remove my damn answer from the other thread just so you have to use the damn search.

Number 1 - I answered his question in depth and with references to other threads answering the question in another thread. He either chose to ignore that advice or simply didnt read the follow up or was just to impatient to wait for the reply and started yet another thread on boards that are already becoming to damn busy.

Number 2 - Almost everyone else on the board will tell you I go out of my way to help as much as I can. Many times doing research away from the boards and responding.

Number 3 - How much of a sad f**ker are you that you felt the need to even post a followup on this. Do you have so little to do that you troll the damn boards looking for posts by my and responding with completly pointless remarks. You have a problem with my views on you and your country - fine. But my views are not based on hate they are based on fact and my opinion. The only thing I actually do hate is small minded, self important little pissants like yourself.

This really irks me to no end. Number 1- multiple posts. If you give us forum users enough time, we'll respond to a thread, but I believe I have seen this thread in three different places. Number 2- if you are going to flame someone, pm them. Granted, in this case I'm not sure if the original flamee (?) knows what the pm button is. Number 3- responding to anger. It just isn't smart.

I admit, I'm pretty smart and have done lots of stupid things, so I can just imagine what the rest of you have done. We just all need a little patience, and we have to remember that we're all human...I think.

You know what would be a better use of your time? Definitely not this. Perhaps stealth2785 could use the search button to find out how to delete useless/excessive posts? Hmm...does that sound like a good idea? Then all of this will go away.

So much for flame-retardants. Puttin' out fires with gasoline.

stealth you have to install the drivers manually. If you look at a few of the threads here in the drivers section you will notice this has been explained numerous times.

The ATI driver install thread seems to come up very frequently so may be one of the more advanced user(s) would be willing to write a detailed FAQ which could be then made a sticky and updated if new drivers or other relevant information becomes available. This could probably reduce number of threads related to this and new ones could be answered with a link to the FAQ for those who missed it.
Just my 2 cents.

brilliant idea. there needs to be more sticky, er,... driver posts.
