Benchmark

Thread Starter
Aight guys I need some help, and help from anyone would be appreciated. On my laptop I am getting benchmarks of 893 on 3dMark03. I would like to raise this score a bit, and I am not a big fan of overclocking. Well any advice on raising my score would be appreciated. My specs are as follows:
1.7 GHZ P4
512 MB PC-2100 DDR SODIMM RAM
64 MB Radeon 9000
30 GB 4200 RPM HD

Thanx.

The Radeon 9000 is your problem, man. 3DMark03 is mainly a graphics benchmark. Plus, it is a DX9 benchmark and cards that dont have hardware DX9 support are slaughtered on it.

MARK03 isnt the best benchmark to test your overall speed... MMarkin is right its only good for benchin benchmark. ALso it has been discovered that ati and nvidia have tweaked thier drivers to have a higher score. These are the couple of reasons why marks taken from 03 do not hold a grain a salt in my eyes. Ill take other more realiable benchmarks from other sources.

Yeah, try PCMark04 or Sandra 2004. Those test your overall performance. To see what they can do, check out my posted bench results; browse under http://sager.mikhailmarkin.com/5680.

P.S. Couple of typos there in your post, Spaxspore.
