Are there any software that will allow me to underclock the 8790? RM-Clock or ClockGen do not work. My notebook have an 3 GHz FSB 800 Prescott.

|Hey roger. My version is 1.02 ,December 2004..the clockgen name is 'CG-ICS952618'. The only thing i adjust is the FSB, the AGP/PCI is very touchy, and will lock up alot. I have also noticed that when booting up, let the machine sit at the log-in screen for about 30 seconds (especially if you are using the lan or wirless), or mine would lock up 1 out of 3 times.
I primarially use the machine at 2.0 mhz at work....and when i am on battery (like now), i get it down to 1.7 mhz.
My machine is a 3.4 P4EE 1gig of ram 2 60gig 7200 drives .
I must also point out that i am using xp pro sp1, and i am using the stock drivers that came on the sager CD..(i find that if it aint broke, dont fix
When i use clockgen, i try to ajust the FSB and memory to the closest 'rounded up' number.
I saw the newest release and was thinking of trying it, so if you do and have success, let me know...
Let me know how it goes...i will help in any way i can
