Anyone know when a newer version is coming out that is suitable for the dual core processors?

no. The dev said they plan to make a new version, but no real time table.

http://www.mckenziedev.com/ is the official site, it will be released there at some point.

To be honest, I have a 9400 and I use the latest beta revision (2.3) available and it works just fine. In fact, I have been monitoring its temperature readings for the GPU because there was speculation that the readings were 6 degrees under what other programs were reporting. I can now say that this is not the case (at least for my system). Ik9fangui reports the same temps as any other monitoring program I've used. I don't use it if I'm just surfing, etc. But when I'm gaming, I turn it on and force both the CPU and GPU fans on 'fast' settings, and my lappy stays nice and cool. Give it a try...worst that will happen is that the program doesn't work correctly. Certainly won't harm your system to try it.

I have been....it's within 1 degree every time. Most of the time, it's exactly the same reading. Don't know why others are having issues with this software, but mine seems to be working correctly.

i don really need to see the temps to control the fans. warm to the touch = too hot, otherwise its good.

but i9kfan has slowly borken down on me. everything worked and now...
The CPU temp failed
fan 1 & fan 2 "profile (slow/fast/off) stopped working
the video card spends most of its time a 20C

but it controls the fans the same, so i wont complain.
